Not only has actual dance changed over the years, but so has the music that goes along with it. Dance music consists of beats that dancers count to and can keep rhythm while dancing. Different music has been used from a long time ago, up until present day dancing. Dancing changes because music constantly changes, as well. As new music comes out, new dance ideas come to life. For some people, dance is their entire life. Back in the day, warriors used dance in preparation for battle. There were certain periods in time which certain dance styles peaked and were the most popular during that time. Dance continues to change and I believe it will never stop. People are too passionate about dance and love it too much to discontinue dance as a part of their life.

In 10 years, how much do you think dance will have changed?

  1. As you said, new dance is related to new music. Modern music is changing, and therefore we can assume that dance will change as well. Music is currently in a very technological state, and dancing may soon (somehow)take on a very expressive, techno form.
